Three farmers were assaulted by a police constable while waiting in line for urea at a distribution centre in Peddavoora, Nalgonda. Eyewitnesses said the confrontation arose over delays in distribution. A police inquiry has been initiated.
On Tuesday, police had to use force to control the angry farmers, as the seed sellers limited sale of cotton seeds to two packets per person leading to arguments and police intervention.
