ISRO has clarified that it will not be privatised and will continue to lead India’s space programme, focusing on advanced research, strategic missions, human spaceflight, next-generation launch systems, and planetary exploration. The private sector’s growing role is meant to complement ISRO’s capabilities, scaling mature technologies and expanding India’s space ecosystem under reforms initiated since 2020.
CAIT said that instead of complying the stipulations of said Press Note both in letter and spirit to respect the law of the land, these foreign entities are deliberately each and every rule of the Press Note No.2 treating India as a banana republic.
