The adaptation will be helmed by William Joyce, Oscar winner in 2012 in the Best Short Film (Animated) category for his film, The Fantastic Flying Books Of Mr. Morris Lessmore.

The film is a sequel to the Eddie Murphy-starrer of 1988, Coming To America. Nineteen-year-old newcomer Bella says the original film shaped her humour.
