LPG shortages in Hyderabad have led households, eateries, and hostels to temporarily switch to firewood stoves, while electric alternatives like induction stoves see cautious demand. Firewood supply remains stable, with prices ranging from Rs 4–Rs 12 per kg.
The shortage of LPG for non-domestic use has led to a rise in demand and prices of firewood in Hyderabad. Restaurants, bakeries and caterers are increasingly turning to firewood as an alternative fuel to keep their kitchens running.
