The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences will conduct an additional FMGE by October 2026 following protests by foreign medical graduates over the June exam. NBEMS also announced reforms covering question difficulty, fees and transparency in results.
The National Medical Commission has made it mandatory for foreign MBBS graduates to obtain an Eligibility Certificate before applying for the FMGE screening test. The online portal for EC applications will remain open from March 2 to March 31, 2026
