Premium petrol price has also already crossed the Rs 100 per litre mark in the city and other parts of the country through increase in the retail rates in the month of January and February.

The price of petrol increased by 17-19 paisa per litre while the diesel price increased by 28-30 paisa per litre across metro cities of the country.

Accordingly, the price of petrol continues to remain at Tuesday level of Rs 92.85 a litre and diesel Rs 83.51 per litre in Delhi.

The oil marketing companies in the city have increased the petrol prices by 31 paise and diesel by 27 paise per litre.

Across the country as well the pump price of petrol and diesel increased on Wednesday but the quantum varied depending on the prevailing tax structure in each state.
