An Anti-Corruption Bureau team arrested Srinivas, a Grama Palana Officer from Mosam village, for allegedly accepting a Rs 22,000 bribe at the Kagaznagar Tahsildar office. The bribe was allegedly sought to process a land title correction and succession.
A Grama Palana Officer was attacked by tribal farmers in a hamlet in Medak district. The farmers accused him of favouring rivals, threw chilli powder in his eyes and assaulted him. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
