Grama palana officer attacked in Medak village

A Grama Palana Officer was attacked by tribal farmers in a hamlet in Medak district. The farmers accused him of favouring rivals, threw chilli powder in his eyes and assaulted him. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.

Medak: Tribal farmers attacked Grama Palana Officer (GPO) Bhupal at Kushangadda thanda, a tribal hamlet, in Kowdipally mandal on Thursday. The tribal farmers accused him of favouring their rivals. The farmers threw chilli powder in the eyes of the GPO and attacked him indiscriminately. He was rushed to the area hospital in Kowdipally. The police registered a case and the probe is on.
