The Finance Ministry has extended the deadline for filing appeals before the GST Appellate Tribunal to July 31, citing technical issues and heavy rush on the portal. Nearly 30,000 appeals were filed in the past 15 days.
Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra inaugurated a half-day summit on GSTAT, India’s specialised GST appellate body. The tribunal, now fully operational, aims to provide a transparent, efficient, and digital platform for GST dispute resolution ahead of the June 30, 2026 appeal cut-off.
