Yemen’s Houthi group says it launched six drones targeting Haifa, Negev, Eilat and Be’er Sheva, claiming successful hits in response to Israel’s actions in Gaza. Israel has not commented. Houthis pledge more attacks until the blockade ends.
The attack came as senior U.S. diplomats were in the region to push for cease-fires in Lebanon and Gaza, hoping to wind down the wars in the Middle East in the Biden administration’s final months.
"In retaliation for the attacks on civilians and the massacres committed by the Zionist enemy, the Islamic Resistance launched a barrage of 'Fadi 1' missiles at the Carmel base south of Haifa on Sunday evening," the statement said.
