India have suffered a major setback ahead of the ODI series against Afghanistan, with Virat Kohli reportedly ruled out due to a hamstring injury. Rohit Sharma’s availability also remains uncertain, raising concerns for India before the three-match contest beginning June 13.
The 36-year-old suffered the injury while playing for Inter Miami in the team's 3-1 home victory over Nashville in the CONCACAF Champions Cup last Wednesday.
The 32-year-old, who is on the cusp of his 50th Test, is likely to be out for at least three weeks which certainly rules him out of the first Day/Night Test in Adelaide starting December 17.
