HFCL announced a Rs 230 crore investment to set up a defence manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Satya Sai district. The plant, expected by December 2027, will produce multi-mode hand grenades and similar systems, boosting the company’s defence manufacturing capabilities.
The order encompasses providing services including provision for the laying of optical fibre cables on critical and important routes, for the execution of Multi-Village Drinking Water Supply Network in the Sheopur district.
With the start of this new facility at Hyderabad, HFCL together with its subsidiary company HTL Limited, has become the largest manufacturer of FTTH cables in India with a capacity of 6 lakh km per annum.
