Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh urged the Hindu community to boycott SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film Varanasi, accusing the director of hurting religious sentiments through remarks about Lord Hanuman. He questioned the filmmaker’s beliefs and asked people to file complaints against him
In his complaint, Chaturvedi said that the film was a deliberate attempt to insult Hindu sentiments by distorting the images of Hindu gods with offensive dialogues, costumes.
The Principal Judicial First Class Magistrate court, dealing with a petition by Bethi Mahender Reddy had instructed the three town police to register a case against Praveen Kumar.
