The Hyderabad Bird Atlas has recorded 248 bird species after adding three new species during its fourth survey season. More than 200 volunteers contributed over 1,250 hours, documenting 158 species and over 75,000 birds, reinforcing efforts to monitor urban biodiversity and conservation.
The efforts to prepare Hyderabad Bird Atlas (HBA) got off to a grand start as 209 bird watchers across the State capital documented 195 bird species including 53 migrant birds at 180 grid locations
The guide features pictures of 252 bird species out of 443 birds recorded in the State so far. Apart from the students, the pocket guides will also be distributed to forest guards and bird enthusiasts who are completely new to bird watching
