The WHO's cancer research agency has classified Hydrochlorothiazide, Voriconazole and Tacrolimus as Group 1 carcinogens based on scientific evidence. Health experts, however, stress that patients should continue prescribed treatment and consult doctors before making any changes, as uncontrolled hypertension poses greater immediate risks.
The IARC conducts and coordinates research into the causes of cancer and is an intergovernmental agency under the World Health Organization of the United Nations.
