India’s representation at the 98th Academy Awards was minimal. Priyanka Chopra Jonas presented the Best International Feature Film award alongside Javier Bardem, who made a political statement. Bollywood legend Dharmendra was excluded from the ‘In Memoriam’ segment despite his passing in 2025, sparking disappointment.

Sean Connery and Chadwick Boseman were also among many others that the Academy remembered in the special tribute segment.
