India settled for the runners-up trophy after losing 4-2 to China in the Youth Hockey5s Asian Championship final in Muscat. Earlier, the team crushed Kazakhstan 8-1 in the semi-final and also secured qualification for the FIH Youth Hockey5s World Cup.
India captain Salima Tete believes the women's team has the confidence and unity to create history at the FIH Hockey Women's World Cup 2026. Riding on its Nations Cup triumph, India will begin its campaign against China before facing South Africa and England.
