The allocation under central assistance to Delhi in the 2024-25 budget estimates was Rs 951 crore like the previous budget for 2023-24. It is provided for financing the schemes of the Delhi government.
The budget allocation for major infrastructure projects in 2024-25 has been increased to Rs 11.1 lakh crore, marking an 11.1 percent rise from the previous year.
Sitharaman said that fulfilling aspirations and needs of Garib (poor), Mahilaye (women), Yuva (youth) and Annadata (farmers) are the highest priority of the government.
The interim budget is a practical arrangement that enables the government to fill this gap. The full Union Budget is presented by the newly-elected government after the Lok Sabha polls.
