Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra and javelin great Jan Zelezny have mutually ended their coaching partnership after a successful phase that saw Chopra breach the 90-metre mark. The Indian star will now chart his own training path ahead of major global events.
Relieved, happy but a touch disappointed too, Indian javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra said now that he is done breaching the 90m mark, he would be striving to go farther as his body is more or less free of the niggles that plagued him in the past few years
"Growing up, I admired Jan’s technique and precision, often watching his videos. He dominated the sport for years, and I believe working with him will be invaluable. Our throwing styles are similar, and his expertise is unparalleled. It’s an honor to have Jan by my side as I aim for the next level in my career, and I can’t wait to begin," said Chopra after the announcement.
