The incident took place in Kanpur Dehat in a factory premises on Thursday where the deceased, identified as Vivek, and Ajay, the accused, shared a room.

"She was taken off ventilator support and even ate some food on Sunday," said DIG Preetinder Singh.

SP Kanpur (East), Rajkumar Agarwal said, "They spiked her drink and raped her. A case has been registered under section 328, 342, 363, 376 (d) of IPC and POCSO Act."

The accused have been charged under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Four people have been arrested and efforts are on to ascertain the identities of the key accused, said Raj Kumar Agarwal, Superintendent of Police (East).

The woman gave a written complaint to the Sadar police two days ago in which she said that though the rape incident took place five months ago, the accused posted the video of the incident recently.

Although the incident took place a week ago, the police were informed about it on Sunday.
