Ganesh idol immersions continued at Hussain Sagar for the second day on Saturday, with hundreds of idols awaiting immersion. More than 40 cranes were deployed, while heavy crowds and vehicular movement created challenges for sanitation teams along procession routes.
Ongoing underground drainage works near NIMS Hospital caused severe traffic congestion between Khairatabad and Irrum Manzil, blocking 60% of the road. Commuters faced long delays, while GHMC officials said the work would be completed within two days.
