BRS working president KT Rama Rao accused the Congress government of betraying the people of Mahabubnagar by sidelining the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme. Addressing party leaders, he predicted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s defeat in Kodangal and said public anger was mounting against Congress over unfulfilled promises and developmental neglect.
Several BRS leaders were detained by Kodangal police on Sunday after they staged a protest against the demolition of graves, Ashoorkhanas and a dargah for road widening works. Led by Mohammed Masiullah and Azam Ali, the leaders reached the site despite police checkposts.
