Three rusted landmines were recovered and safely destroyed by Army personnel in Mendhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The mines were found near Dharana Basoni village and disposed of by a bomb disposal team without causing damage
The gruesome incident, according to the official, took place in Nawar district on Wednesday afternoon when a group of children found a toy-like object and began playing with it, but the object exploded killing two children on the spot and injuring another.
The police seized steel tiffin boxes (2), aluminum tiffin boxes (2), detonators (6), Black slurry (explosive)-900 gm, Red & Black electrical wire, and rusted small bolts (10) from the mines
