The official said the rebels were impressed by the police's rehabilitation drive 'Lon Varratu', and disappointed with the "hollow" Maoist ideology.

According to the police's statement, 11 male and two female Naxals surrendered in front of Dantewada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava yesterday.

Three of the rebels were carrying rewards of Rs 1 lakh each on their heads.
