The Telangana government has launched the Mahila Shakti Saree distribution scheme, coinciding with Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that one crore women will benefit, with 65 lakh sarees distributed in rural areas between November 19 and December 9, followed by 35 lakh sarees in urban areas in March.
