Gold prices extended their decline for a fourth straight session on Friday, with MCX October futures falling to Rs 1,58,100 per 10 grams. Prices have dropped 3.25% in four sessions as investors assess US monetary policy and market signals.
Gold prices rose 0.86 per cent weekly as weaker US economic data strengthened expectations of steady Federal Reserve interest rates. MCX gold and silver also gained, while crude oil remained volatile amid Middle East tensions and developments around the Strait of Hormuz
