In a letter addressed to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday, the former MLC pointed out that the Telangana government had paid Rs 300 as the daily wage under the scheme last year. This year, the wage was increased by just Rs 7, bringing the current daily wage to only Rs 307.
Speaking during Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, she accused the Central government of systematically undermining the scheme by reducing budgetary allocations. "The budget allocation for MGNREGA has remained stagnant at Rs 86,000 crore, but in reality, it has decreased by Rs 4,000 crore," she said.
