The 'zero-day' exploit (which is a cyber attack targeting a software vulnerability which is unknown to the software/antivirus companies) is found in the widely-used Java logging system called 'log4j2'.
Researchers at Sophos, a global leader in next-generation cybersecurity, have detailed a curious cyberattack campaign that targets users of pirated software with malware designed to block access to websites hosting pirated software.
"Change can also pave the way for a better future. That is why we have decided that moving forward, all of our games will require a Microsoft account to play – including Minecraft Java Edition," the company said
