The Sports Authority of India has approved a 45-day karate coaching camp in Lucknow under the TAGG scheme, providing Rs 1.42 crore support. The camp prepares 48 core athletes for the 2026 Asian Games, ensuring training despite NSF derecognition

The players have been selected on the basis of their recent performances in the Hockey India Sub-Junior National Championships. 

The camp comprising 11 players (5 male, 6 female) and four support staff, will be organised by the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) at the Delhi Public School, Sonepat.
