The Telangana Cabinet has constituted a Special Enquiry Team to probe alleged irregularities in the Dharani and Bhu Bharathi portals, covering developments from tendering to current operations. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said a forensic audit and pilot checks in Siddipet and Medak preceded the decision.
The Vahan Portal rollout in Telangana faced initial technical issues but is now stabilising, with over 59,000 temporary registrations completed. Authorities are working to clear pending cases and expand services as part of efforts to digitise transport operations.
The management of the Dharani portal, a key platform for land-related transactions, was recently handed over to the central agency, National Informatics Centre (NIC).
The conditions have already triggered apprehensions that several farmers could lose out on the waiver, for which they were waiting desperately ever since Revanth Reddy himself had egged them on during his campaign to go and avail loans immediately and that he would waive them off.
CIC asked the NIC to explain that when in the Aarogya Setu website it is mentioned that the platform was designed, developed and hosted by it, then how is it that it doesn't have any information about the creation of the App
