Telangana: Dharani portal services suspended for database upgrade till Dec 16
The management of the Dharani portal, a key platform for land-related transactions, was recently handed over to the central agency, National Informatics Centre (NIC).

Hyderabad: The State government on Thursday announced a temporary suspension of Dharani portal services until December 16 to facilitate a database version upgrade. Officials stated that the process is expected to be completed by the morning of December 16.
The management of the Dharani portal, a key platform for land-related transactions, was recently handed over to the central agency, National Informatics Centre (NIC). The upgradation is said to be part of the exercise to improve the portal’s efficiency and implement user-friendly changes to support the proposed changes in the portal in tune with the new Telangana Record of Rights Bill 2024.
The new legislation is expected to be tabled and approved during the ensuing Assembly session, scheduled to resume from December 16. The RoR Act 2024 and a new Dharani app aim to enhance accessibility and utility for common people, making land transactions simpler and more transparent.
