Former US National Security Adviser John Bolton has pleaded guilty to one count of retaining classified national defence information in a federal court in Maryland. The plea deal includes a recommended sentence of up to five years in prison and a $2.25 million fine.
US Defence Department spokesperson Eric Pahon said after the meeting in Washington on Tuesday that they "discussed avenues to deepen coordination between the US and Indian militaries to address the region's increasingly contested strategic environment".
The Russian chief arms control negotiator also noted that Russia would refuse any agreement on the New START that was timed to coincide with the US presidential election.
