The Andhra Pradesh government is preparing a regulatory framework to restrict social media access for children under 13 and introduce age-appropriate digital environments for teenagers. Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh chaired a Group of Ministers meeting with social media representatives, stressing the need for graded content access and robust age-verification mechanisms.
