Medak SP D V Srinivas Rao warned that strict action would be taken against farmers drying paddy or other grains on roads and road margins, citing several recent accidents caused by such practices involving unsuspecting motorists, especially two-wheeler riders.
Farmers are often seen drying their produce on roads due to lack of proper drying platforms. However, road users are urging the authorities to put an end to this practice as it is causing fatal road accidents.
