At a ceremony honoring him, Hockey India’s Secretary General, Bhola Nath Singh, announced the retirement of Sreejesh’s jersey. The 36-year-old Sreejesh, who has been pivotal in Indian hockey, will now serve as the coach for the junior national team, focusing on developing the next generation of Indian goalkeepers.
