The 25th batch of police canines and 105 handlers passed out from IITA, Moinabad, after eight months of training. The 76 canines, including those from Telangana, Bihar CID, and CISF, will be deployed for security and operational duties across the State.
Nominations received from SSB, CISF, BSF, NSG, Telangana State Police and other law-enforcement agencies. India is home to nearly 6500 trained working dogs that serve as part of dog squads in the police or armed forces.
