Hyderabad CP inaugurates kennels for police canines
Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Monday inaugurated newly constructed kennels for police canines at the Goshamahal police stadium. The constructions of the kennels were sponsored by Motilal Jain and Susheel Kumar Jain, both directors of Namishree Infrastructure and Project Limited Ranigunj as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
The City Police has a dog squad and the services of the canines which are trained at the Integrated Intelligence Training Academy at Moinabad are used for tracking of criminals, detection of explosives and drugs. The dogs along with their handlers are assigned duties of checking of explosives at public places and high security zones routinely. This apart, they help the police in tracking down suspects involved in property and bodily offences.
