The Secunderabad Government Railway Police (GRP) reported 2607 crime cases in 2025, a decline from 2835 in 2024. While thefts and bodily offences remained high, molestation and POCSO cases rose. Deaths from rail mishaps were reduced, but property losses increased to Rs 4.89 crore.
The explosion of an LPG cylinder sparked a fire that injured six people. The victims of the fire accident were Parvatham Saidamma, P. Mangamma, P. Venkanna, P. Bhiksham, P. Srinu, K. Nagayya, P. Satish, and Elamanchamma. The fire caused widespread panic among the colony's residents as it continued to rage for a while.
