Sony's PSN Status page reported on Saturday that "You might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features" on platforms including the PS Vita, PS3, PS4 and PS5.
According to The Verge, the headset won't launch this year, but the company is announcing early plans to make it available on the PS5 at some point in the future.
Sony's big PS4 release for the quarter was the open-world samurai adventure Ghost of Tsushima, which came out in July and sold 2.4 million copies in its first three days.
"Enjoy Apple TV+, Apple TV channels, new and popular movies, and personalised, curated recommendations on the Apple TV app," Sony said in a statement on Thursday.
