"ravichandran-ashwin"

"Star Sports Bangla Cricket Expert Manoj Tiwary suggests Mohammad Shami's singular prowess suffices, as two fast bowling all-rounders may be redundant in the XI. He speculates team management's interest in Shardul's batting prowess."

Ashwin was included in India's squad in place of injured Axar Patel, and now he might pip pacer Shardul Thakur for a place in the eleven.

India have brought in veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in place of injured all-rounder Axar Patel after his phenomenal performance against Australia in the recent ODI series.

Axar had sustained a quadriceps tear and is not expected to recover anytime soon, forcing the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee to name the 37-year-old Ashwin in the squad

A report said Axar hasn't sufficiently recovered to be included in the squad for the third ODI and is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru

In case of Suryakumar, the 'Wall' was more or less bullish the team is fully backing the T20 stalwart to come good in a version where has an average of less than 25 in 27 ODIs.

Just two weeks before the mega event, the Indian team management has called the two off-spinners for the three-match series against Australia to keep a ready back-up option in case Axar Patel's quadriceps tear doesn't heal on time

Since his international debut in 2010, the all-rounder has emerged as a cornerstone of the Indian team, particularly in Test cricket.

He took to X (formerly Twitter) to share videos and pictures of him practising with NCA chief VVS Laxman and former spinner Sairaj Bhutale.

Ashwin added that Pakistan's success depends much on skipper Babar Azam and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan's performance.

As India are likely to announce their Asia Cup squad, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin thinks that Indian management could consider Sanju Samson as a wicketkeeper batter if KL Rahul does not get fit

Chapman's aggressive 63 off 46 balls, including three fours and three sixes, was backed by Neesham's 21 off 17 balls with two fours.

Ashwin finished as the highest wicket-taker in the series, grabbing 15 wickets at an average of 15.00, which included a couple of fifers

After an impressive innings against the West Indies help team India Captain Rohit Sharma makes his way into the top 10 in ICC Men's Test batting rankings, while R Ashwin retained the top spot in the bowling chart

Aswhin did so during the first Test of two-match series against West Indies in Dominica.

This was Ashwin's 33rd five-wicket haul in an innings in Tests as he helped India take a dominant position in the first Test.

Ashwin, who had made his Test debut in 2011 in New Delhi, had dismissed Tagenarine's father Shivnarine Chanderpaul during his maiden appearance in the longest format

Australia XI looks relatively settled ahead of the June 7 clash at The Oval, there is still plenty of conjecture around the makeup of India's team, especially surrounding their bowlers.

After a change of ends as well as of load-up, Ashwin used his pace, angles, lines and control very well, which fetched him three crucial scalps.

Chasing 145, India resumed at 45 for four but lost three wickets early before Shreyas Iyer (29 not out) and Ravichandran Ashwin (42 not out) held fort to guide the visitors home in 47 overs.
