The YSR Congress Party has accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of betraying Rayalaseema by halting the Lift Irrigation Project under pressure from Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. YSRCP leaders warned of mass agitation if the project is not revived, calling his actions a “death warrant” for the drought-prone region.
Listing out the measures initiated by the Congress government for the welfare of the farming community, the Chief Minister said within one year, farmers’ crop loans of upto Rs.2 lakh were waived by spending Rs.21,000 crore.
