Farmers staged a protest on Sagar Road in Miryalaguda after alleging that rice millers had formed a syndicate and cut fine-variety paddy procurement prices from Rs 4,000-Rs 4,200 to Rs 3,500 per quintal. They withdrew the protest after millers assured better prices.
