Tigress Zeenat, relocated from Maharashtra to Odisha's Similipal Tiger Reserve in 2024, has given birth to four cubs. Forest officials said the cubs and their mother are healthy, marking a significant milestone in the reserve's tiger conservation programme
Zeenat had been relocated from Maharashtra's Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) to Similipal last month to introduce a new gene pool to the tiger population
Very few among the tribals residing inside the tiger reserve were engaged in the illegal poaching practice and action has been taken against only such people, the DGP informed.
