Japanese company SoftBank’s SVF Growth Fund is the likely seller in this mega transaction, according to CNBC TV18.

An analysis of the cost of acquisition of shares owned by pre-IPO and ex-Blinkit shareholders of Zomato suggests they are currently sitting on substantial gains on their investments, a large chunk of which is, however, unrealised. 

The investment is an extension to last year's funding round, helping Lenskart maintain its $4.5 billion valuation.

The transaction - which may also see participation from Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC and Canadian pension fund CPPIB - could value Flipkart between USD 30-32 billion.
