South Western Railway began field trials of an automatic emergency brake-fitted Vande Bharat rake on the challenging Sakleshpur-Subrahmanya Road Ghat section. The tests will assess braking, acceleration, stability and other operational parameters, potentially paving the way for a Bengaluru-Mangaluru Vande Bharat service

In view of passenger amenities works at Makkajipalli railway station over South Western Railway, temporary elimination of stoppages for the following trains will be in force at Makkajipalli railway station from till March 15

The 12 teams of Indian Railways represent the South Central Railway, Central Railway, Western Railway, Northern Railway, Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, North Eastern Railway, North Frontier Railway, Southern Railway, South Western Railway, South East Central Railway and North Western Railway.

The train will consist of 19 coaches, including 12 General Second Class coaches, 3 Sleeper Class coaches, 2 AC Three-tier coaches

Along with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, a statue of Swami Vivekananda and the ‘Make in India’ lion were also created by SWR’s Yeshwantpur coaching depot team.
