"Spaces are making their way to Twitter for web! Now you can join a Space to listen in, test out the new transcription design, and set reminders to join a scheduled Space," The micro-blogging platform said in a tweet.
Twitter said that the 20 per cent cut will cover the cost of transaction fees of online payments processing company Stripes (hosts will also need a Stripe account), reports The Verge.
On Twitter for iOS and Android, when someone you follow starts or speaks in a Space, it'll appear at the top of your timeline as a purple bubble for as long as it's live.
