Two Hyderabad-based firms donated over Rs 4 crore to the Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) under TTD. A devotee from Narasaraopet also contributed Rs 10 lakh to the Annaprasadam Trust at Tirumala’s Sri Venkateswara temple
Another devotee presented a gold-plated Makarathorana to the presiding deity Mallanna of Srisailam. The total value of Makarathorana, weighing 250 gram, is said to be Rs 24,45,000
The four devotees P Venkateswarlu, Rajamouli, Prasada Rao and M Lakshmi Kumari donated Rs 3.7 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Sri Venkateswara Annaprasadam Trust, which offers free food to pilgrims.
