Intelligence agencies believe terror handlers sitting across the border in Pakistan have been frustrated due to largely people participative and peaceful Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in J&K
Officials reported that unidentified terrorists targeted a CRPF mobile bunker vehicle with a grenade near the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) crossing in Srinagar. The grenade missed its intended target, exploding on the road and injuring over a dozen civilians. The injured were promptly taken to the hospital, and the area has been cordoned off for searches. Senior police and CRPF officers are on-site.
So far, two terrorists have been killed and efforts are on to neutralise their third associate still hiding in the forest area near the Assan temple in Jogwan village
Officials said forces using human and technical intelligence inputs to aid search operation which has been launched to trace and neutralise terrorists behind attack
According to sources, draft of the resolution has been prepared and the Chief Minister will travel to New Delhi to hand over the draft to Prime Minister Narendra Modi
