On the occasion of 57th National Library Week celebrations, Bala Chelimi, in collaboration with Telangana State Central Public Library and Oxford Grammar School, Himayatnagar, organised an event on “Children Libraries and its Importance” at State Central Library, Afzalgunj on Tuesday.

HMDA has taken up the restoration and conservation works of the heritage structure at an estimated cost of Rs 13.45 crore

The State Central Library is up for restoration following a decision taken by the State government to revive the splendour of the structure.

In the last 17 years, the institution has scanned and digitised over 45,704 books.
