The Telangana state government has announced a 15 per cent hike in medical stipends, effective from January 1, 2025. The revised stipends will benefit house surgeons, postgraduate (PG) degree and diploma students, super-specialty medical and dental trainees, as well as senior residents

Accordingly, the present stipend of Rs. 70,000 per month has been increased to Rs. 80,500 per month for nearly 1,500 Senior Residents.
